Mission Statement
The mission of the Tutoring Center Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit 501(c)3 agency located in Lewisburg, WV, is to provide individualized, supplemental, educational support to anyone in need of academic remediation, maintenance or enrichment.
Vision Statement
The Tutoring Center Foundation envisions a community in which every student has equal access to the academic support necessary to become confident, successful learners.
Methods Overview
We are able to help each child make accelerated progress by
- employing competent, caring teachers,
- identifying each child’s strengths,
- providing instruction in their areas of need, and
- building on each student’s areas of strength.
As students make progress, we are able to fill in the skills that each student needs to be successful. Having the time to spend one-on-one with a child and having the expertise to know how to explain each concept in a number of different ways bolsters academic progress and self-esteem.
